Tips:
  • Bring your own food. As reflected above, we were charged quite a bit for food.
  • Bring your own water. Water can be bought at the sari-sari store of Villa Amor for a higher price of course.
  • Make sure you have your own emergency food stash – there are limited choices in Biri.
  • Wear proper footwear. I used by Tribu sandals which I used in various hiking trips. It is not “slip-proof”. Flip flops will probably get you through but I do not recommend it – lest you plan on landing on your butt from time to time.
  • Prepare yourself for an exciting habal-habal ride. Don’t demand a helmet.
  • Prepare to hike and wad through knee-deep waters.
  • There’s no electricity from 12am to 12nn. Charge your phones and cameras when there’s electricity.
  • There are no ATMs in Biri Island.

This is for an adventurer. This is not an adventure for the faint-hearted. Read: Bawal maarte.
