Biri Island’s Villa Amor Resort
Biri Island is still relatively “undiscovered”. There are not so many choices where to stay – which makes research easier because there’s not a lot to compare.
We stayed for three nights in Villa Amor Resort. The place is just 5-10 minutes away from the Biri port via a habal-habal ride. Standard rates posted in Biri Port:

Their rates are very affordable for a someone travelling on a budget. Their fan room just costs Php 500/night, good for 3 pax.

The “beach” in front of the resort. I didn’t try swimming. I was fine in my dozing off in the hammock.

Relax in their hammocks:

The bathroom. They have a manual/"de-buhos" toilet but that is fine.

The room:

Note that Biri Island does not have electricity from 12apm to 12nn. I think there is another resort offering airconditioned rooms. But do make sure that they have a generator so that you get your money’s worth. We traveled in March and it was quite cool at night because it rained.
Villa Amor also has a sari-sari store. They sell mineral water for Php 30/liter and some snacks as well.
Overall, we had a nice stay. A good no-fuss place for a traveler.
